Johan Sjöberg is European Studio and Business Development Director for DDM, the world’s premier independent video game consultant and business development agency. He works primarily with DDM’s European clients with the main focus on business development, securing deals and advising clients in the strategic development of their businesses. This includes working with the clients from the creation of pitch materials and budgets, through managing the sales process, handling contract negotiations and securing deals, as well as supporting the agency’s clients beyond the deal.

Johan Sjöberg is a two decade game development veteran and started his game development career as a bestselling author of roleplaying games. He has since then co-founded and managed the sales of game development studios, worked with leading international publishers, delivered interactive TV-shows for leading networks, and created entertainment for many target groups, ranging from young children to mature horror fans. Having worked in executive positions both in sales, production, and business development Johan has extensive experience from many aspects of game development, with an expertise in pitch and IP development, project placement and support, and business strategy.

Session Description
In his keynote Johan Sjöberg will be focusing on the critical business processes before, during, and beyond the deal. His talk will provide insight into how DDM approaches building successful relationships between its clients and their customers.
